How Radical | Is Our Owl In Flight This Week???

Aubergines & Courgettes
As noted last week the price for aubergines & courgettes this past week increased, so much so that we heard a warning on the answerphone on Thursday night due to the increase.

A short snappy cold period in Spain has caused the increase as fruit production slowed whilst demand is still extremely high.

Things should stabilise a tad but they are still on the increase.
Griottine Cherries
This boozy infusion of cherry and all things nice is under pressure as prices are rocketing for this tipsy treat.

The blame is a lack of fruit production during last years harvest for the cherry along with rising costs around alcohol across Europe.

We still have stock and also sell an option in syrup plus sell a frozen griottine which you could macerate yourself if you want to save some money.
Oca De Peru
These creative fingerlings only have roughly 3 weeks left for supply.

If you have enjoyed using them this year please note that they won't be around for long.

Once we wave them goodbye they won't be back until October...

Strawberry
The season for fresh strawberries is switching from Egyptian fruit over to Spanish.

Although prices won't be increasing the size and characteristics of the fruit will change as the fruit becomes larger in size.

Don't panic it will taste great and give that strawberry excitement we all so love - It won't be long until the Northern Crop reappears !!!
LED Tomatoes
The volume of the northern LED grown tomatoes will be reduced this week due to new intercropped plants not quite up to height as the lack of heat in the glass house is causing slow growth.

There will be available fruit throughout the week but volumes will be slightly reduced until the plants gather speed once again.
Oyster Mushroom
The price for the trusty oyster mushroom will have a slight increase over the coming week due to a hike in production costs for the grower.

Although northern grown the compost used is a commodity which keeps rising in price. DONT PANIC it won't be a hike which will make them unaffordable but the price will increase slightly to help make the farm sustainable for the future.
